Review of PAH! from The World of 'Zines:

This is an off-the-wall, one-man humor 'zine. It usually comes one sheet at a time, with each issue numbered, and is ready to hit on just about anything. Some sheets describe verily weird items and events like the "interview" with the "founder of Workaholics Anonymous; the experiences of Geppetto, who leaves Pinocchio in the dust to go work for the U.S. government; a wine-buying guide for those whose "6-year statute of limitations on buying cheaps jugs of wine" has run out; a harrowing bathroom experience in lower Manhattan; or the discovery that fathers are rapidly disappearing from view as they wield the videocams at family gatherings. The list goes on and on.

Excellent humor and tongue-in-cheek asides (like trying to cope with Christmas commercialism at a time that should be reserved for Rudolph special) from a truly inspired mind.

PAH! Excerpt:
"...that face that electric guitar players make has its origins in a West village club. On July 16, 1954, Bobby Blossoe -- who was a guitarist but always wanted to be a mime -- was absently imitating the face of an audience member who was biting into a piping hot slice of pizza...."

My 'zine began in print with jokes and commentary about new president George H. W. Bush and concludes as his son exits the White House. Much of this work was expanded and republished elsewhere.

Please feel free to explore the past five years of PAH! and look forward to a book compiling the best of all twenty years.

And while the Bush presidencies serve as interesting bookends to my print and online publication, that is not the end of our adventures. George H.W. went skydiving. George W. will go clear brush. I plan to do a little of both as I explore the skies and clear the thorny clutter in my
blog. Join me.
